My Favourite Poem at the moment

Silent friend of many distances, feel how your breath enlarges all of space. Let your presence ring out like a bell into the night. What feeds upon your face grows mighty from the nourishment thus offered. Move through transformation, out and in. What is the deepest loss that you have suffered? If drinking is bitter, change yourself to wine. In this immeasurable darkness, be the power that rounds your senses in their magic ring, the sense of their mysterious encounter. And if the earthly no longer knows your name, whisper to the silent earth: I'm flowing. To the flashing water say: I am.

December

Well, well, well…. I cannot believe I have not updated for 42 days (thanks Char, you’ve saved me from counting up the days myself)… I must admit, not updating is very naughty but not updating in December…. That is truly terrible! December is my month! The month of birthdays, of Christmas and of summer! So I shall tell you about all the exciting happenings that happened attributing to the fact that I had no time to update in my beloved December (well apart from now because it is in fact still December but it’s the end of the month so it doesn’t count)….

First of all…. Tum tiddly tum…. Exams… Yes exams…. I was one of those unlucky people who had exams in December and I am bitter about that. Instead of having one exam like my fantastically amazing Latin chums, I had two. Six hours of hell. First there was the Latin exam and I have to admit it actually wasn’t that bad, which was very surprising. I wrote too much on the Aeneid but hey I had too much to say…. The translation and comprehension didn’t make much sense but that’s ok… That’s what it’s like all the time. Plus I got to use my creative licence and the outcome is usually brilliant so fingers crossed…..

Secondly, the day that makes December so fabulous: My Birthday
Well for all of those who didn’t know (and those of you who do know), it was my birthday on the 19th of December…. And this is getting really boring so I’ll put it into a lovely concise format that goes like this:
It was sunny in the morning and quite possibly the hottest day all December, consisting of a nice 21C.
I got to spend it with some lovely people and they doted on me all day (unnecessary attention I think).
So yeah…

Then Christmas!!!! Another quite hot day, beautiful food and more lovely people…

Moving on to summer…. As I look out my window and marvel at the exquisite dash of red in the pohutukawa tree, I tell myself it is not summer. Because beyond those lovely crimson flowers there are grey clouds and surrounding the stunning scarlet is cool air. No sun and no warmth.

This is so uninspiring… O well I’ll see you guys in 2007!

Ciao xoxo
